The return of Canelo Alvarez is upon us. The Mexican superstar returned to action on Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, when he faced Billy Joe Saunders for a trio of super middleweight titles. The bout is making headlines in a four-fight AT&T Stadium map that is expected to have over 70,000 fans in attendance and many more spectators around the world.
Alvarez has been extremely active since returning from a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 168-pound unified champion has fought twice in the past five months already and plans to fight twice more in 2021 if all goes according to plan on Saturday night. But he faces a tough test as the Briton wears an undefeated record and a tough style.

While this card is for Alvarez and Saunders, there are a few more names just below the main event that should provide some interesting theater in the build. WBO junior flyweight champion Elwin Soto will face Katsunari Takayama in the co-main event. Soto is 18-1 with the only loss in his third professional fight. He’s been dominant ever since with 12 KOs on his CV.
Moreover, French powerhouse Souleymane Cissokho is back when he faces off against Kieron Conway in a super welterweight contest. Cissohko is undefeated at 12-0 with eight knockouts on his CV. Although he is still a developing prospect, his power has translated well. Cissohko scored a TKO in March in his first action since September 2019. He passes a rigorous test to Conway, who is posting a 16-1-1 score. Conway doesn’t have a lot of power with just three TKOs in his career, but has proven to be durable. He will make his US debut after fighting exclusively in the UK
