Distillery Labs partners with gener8tor for a new accelerator


PEORIA, Illinois., June 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Nationally Rated Startup Accelerator gener8tor, OSF HealthCare, Peoria County, Hanson Professional Services, Central Illinois Angels and Attollo announced a new partnership to help accelerate the growth of start-ups in the Grand Peoria Region. Starting this fall, two annual gBETA “pre-accelerator” programs will be offered to local entrepreneurs as part of this collaboration.

gBETA accelerates the growth of start-ups through its network-focused program. gBETA supports five teams per cohort and does not require any fees or equity. Since its launch in 2015, alumni of the gBETA program have raised more than $ 188 million in capital and created more than 2,000 jobs in the United States and Canada. gBETA is designed to help startups quickly attract customers for their product or idea, and establish and execute metrics that make them competitive candidates for full-time accelerators based on equity or start-up investments. Participants receive intensive, one-on-one coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, clients, corporate partners and investors.

The gBETA program in Grand Peoria will be an initiative of Distillery Labs, which is positioned to become the epicenter of the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem and is one of 15 members of the Illinois Innovation Network. Distillery Labs is also located in the Innovation District in the heart of downtown Peoria. The name reflects by Peoria entrepreneurial heritage which earned it its reputation as the “whiskey capital of the world” during the last half of the 19th century and now covers the principles necessary for building future businesses in the region: the distillation of ideas into new businesses flourishing.

Executive Director of Distillery Laboratories Paul Leamon says it’s appropriate to have gBETA as Distillery Lab’s first major initiative.
