Inova Fairfax staff received a meal by the Alexandria Democracy FCU

FAIRFAX, VA – Staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital were recently surprised with a lunch delivery from the Alexandria-based Democracy Federal Credit Union.

The credit union is coordinating pizza delivery to show support for frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mario Mejia, vice president of delivery channels for Democracy FCU, made the big pizza delivery to thank the hospital staff.

Democracy FCU has been involved in other acts of kindness in recent months. Among the efforts were donations to the Capital Area Food Bank and Christ Church, both of which are running food aid programs during the pandemic.

The credit union also has several financial programs in place to help families stay at home and eat at their tables. Its CASH-N-GO payday loan alternative allows members to borrow up to $ 1,000 without a credit check. Members can also participate in the December Skip-A-Pay program which allows them to skip their automatic, personal or credit card payments for the month of December. A vacation loan offer for eligible members through December 31 includes a 2% rate cut on rates as low as 8.49% APR on $ 5,000 for up to 24 months.
