Tesla had planned to add a Plaid + version with even more power and a range of 520 miles, but Musk announced last week that it was canceled because the “Plaid is so good.”
A slower $ 79,990 Long Range Model S with dual engines that can travel 412 miles per charge will be available at a later date.
The Model S Plaid debuts an all-new interior with touchscreens for front and rear passengers and an infotainment system powered by a 5-stage Sony Playstation processor, according to Musk. Wireless game controllers can be connected via Bluetooth.
